Countryside Stewardship (CS) and Environmental Stewardship (ES) 2025 payments
You can expect the first Mid-Tier payments for 2025 to be made in December 2025. Don’t worry if you don’t receive your payment straight away, the RPA are still carrying out checks on some claims and will continue to make payments throughout December and into the new year
Capital Grants

The CS capital grants are now closed and will not re-open until summer 2026. It is expected that when they do re-open financial limits will be put in place for each category. If there are future water quality items that will need approval such as roofing, concrete, cow tracks and rainwater harvesting tanks, please get in touch as CSF requests for approval can be submitted now so that applications are ready to go once the scheme re-opens.
You can continue to claim for items in outstanding agreements up until 3 months after the end date of the agreement – check your scheme paperwork carefully as some agreements are two years and some were three.
When we submit claims, we require clear photographs taken before the work starts and of completed items. Insufficient or poor quality photos can hold up your claim.
