Capital Grants Update

Now is a good time to prepare for a future capital grant application if you have projects that you believe may be eligible for funding. Recent grant rounds have been open for short windows, and it is likely that a high volume of applications will arise in future rounds. Therefore, it is important to be ready to apply so you don’t miss out.

While we have no information about the structure or payment rates of future grants, we do know that some preparation is required for certain grant items that need endorsement from your local Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF) advisor. Our local CSF advisors are currently visiting farms to evaluate projects that could be funded in the next round, so it is important to submit a request for support early to allow time for that process.

CSF supported grant items include:

  • Roofing over stock yards, manure stores or silage clamps
  • Livestock and vehicle tracks, culverts and cross drains
  • Concrete renewal on yards, drains and inspection pits
  • Automatic slurry scrapers
