Natural Flood Management Offer – Trees for Climate
We are thrilled to announce that the Trees for Climate scheme with the Mersey Forest is once again open for planting in the 2025-26 season for those in Cheshire. This local initiative aims to support farmers and landowners in creating woodland, orchards and low density planting on their farm .
One of the exciting updates for this season is the funding availability for Natural Flood Management (NFM) measures. These measures are crucial in mitigating flood risks, improving water quality, and enhancing biodiversity on farms and will attract a higher payment for your scheme.
The scheme is bespoke and tailored with many different items funded depending on your requirements. By working closely with farmers and landowners an individual planting scheme with associated fencing, gates etc can be designed, we can also assist with ordering your trees and getting a planting contractor.
